Kimiset is Kimia Ceram Zarin's concrete setting time regulators, available in two types: accelerator (Kimiset-A) and retarder (Kimiset-R). The accelerator, based on calcium chloride and non-chloride compounds, speeds up cement hydration. The retarder, based on hydroxycarboxylic acids and phosphates, delays initial setting. Both products comply with ASTM C494 standards.
Precise concrete setting time control
Enables concreting in various weather conditions
Improved early concrete strength (accelerator)
Extended concrete workability time (retarder)
Accelerated concrete setting in cold weather (accelerator)
Delayed concrete setting in hot weather (retarder)
Setting time control in mass concreting
Precast and prestressed concrete
What is the difference between accelerator and retarder?
Accelerator (Kimiset-A) speeds up cement hydration and reduces setting time. Retarder (Kimiset-R) delays initial setting to allow more time for transporting, placing, and finishing concrete.
